What Does An Established Edublogger Look Like?
Hello, welcome back readers
As I have been running this blog for alittle over a month now, learning as I go and beginning to form a rhythm of what my writing style has become I have wondered, what does a established blog offer to the reader? How is their blog presented? These are critical questions to ask yourself to reflect on your own blog. Why you may ask? Well first why would anyone read your blog if it has nothing to offer? Constantly developing and evolving your blog to have quality content for your readers is important to grow a following. As important as the content you offer is, the way you present and display it is also vital to growing your blog and following. To compare my blog to an established Edublogger's I searched to see were I would have to develop my own to reach this level. There were many different educational blogs touching on any topic / subject you could think of but one in particular I have been following for awhile now, I thought I would share.

ThePhysicalEducator is more then a educational blog, rather it is more of a educational development resource spread across many platforms as listed above. ThePhysicalEducator was founded by Joey Feith, a elementary physical education teacher in Montreal, Quebec. After the realization that online resource development for PE enthusiasts was simply outdated and overwhelming Joey took on the task to create his own, creating a place for educators to learn, collaborate and develop around the idea of education and physical education.
I really enjoy this resource / blog as it has tons to offer to the reader, in a user friendly well displayed format spread across many platforms for the user to gain the most out of the produced content. The home base for this resource is the home website itself. From here you are able to connect to all platforms that content is produced on. The website is very simplistic in look, with tabs to learn, shop and view classroom resources.

ThePhysicalEducator does a great job of updating their blog frequently with no particular schedule. These blog posts vary in topic but generally have to do with educational ideas / teaching practices. The posts are a great resource to learn new teaching methods, games or activities and provoke thought into questions surrounding physical education. Some posts are more lengthy compared to others but all are easy to read and well organized. ThePhysicalEducator utilizes media with attached Images, videos and links within the blog post to help with the educational process.

ThePhysicalEducator is very active on Twitter posting frequently with updates, photos, promotions, and educational links related to the world of physical education. This platform I find the most useful as I am able to interact with a variety of posts and get updates on when new content is uploaded to other platforms. Twitter is perfect for networking with other like-minded individuals to collaborate and discuss. ThePhysicalEducator's definitely worth the follow!

Maybe you're to busy throughout the day to check out any of ThePhysicalEducator's content on their many platforms and always on the go? Don't worry as they do have a Podcast. Unfortunately this platform is not updated as frequent as others but the content is very rich in discussion and knowledge. I prefer to listen to these in the car on the way to and from school. Throughout the episodes Joey discusses many different topics and has different guests visit the show.

Interesting post Byrce! You did a lot of research and have provided some interesting content here. I believe you have really taken this class as an opportunity to challenge your self and invest in your blog posts. That is awesome and I think will provide you with a potential tool in the future to use for networking, collaboration, and potentially your own following (if you'd want). Your post has got me thinking about this and how I want to put more investment and thought into my posts and maybe one day I could use a blog to talk about my interests both personally and professionally and connect with others in that manner. Interesting topic and thought, keep up the good work!
